Key Facts:
Troop 1300 is a backpacking troop that is Scout led.  The adult leadership establishes broad guidelines, enforces them, and provides backup to the scouts if they can't solve a problem.  We produce 1-3 Eagle Scouts per year.

Meetings are Tuesday at 7:00 PM at St Thomas Episcopal Church, College Station, Texas.   Camping is every month except during the summer.  See our Calendar.

  • 2015.03.27 Arrowmoon District Camporee We had a very successful camporee. I am so proud of all of the scouts for their skills, teamwork, and attitude. Especially considering some of the behaviors I saw in other troop's patrols. I could tell we were making a good impression with the camporee staff.     Since we had 8 scouts, we divided into two patrols for the competitions.   The Didgeridudes:     Nick     Manuel     Charlie     Bobby     First Aid: 2nd     Piranha Boats: 1st     The Black Nights     Jarod     Josh     Brendon     Andrew       First Aid: 3rd     Orienteering: 1st   We placed 2nd in Camp Site Inspection   There was also a relay competition involving a stretcher race, three-man slingshot, and tomahawk throw.   • 2014.10.16 Court of Honor This Court of Honor was especially poignant because of our new scouts earning their first rank advancement, but also the recognition given to Dr Jim Herman for his many years of service to our Troop.  Dr Herman was awarded an engraved Buck Knife commemorating his service and a cake.  Waiting to hear which he liked better.
